Jessie Stricchiola, Founder & CEO

As the founder of Alchemist, Jessie began her search engine optimization career in 1997. After moving to Los Angeles in 1999, she worked in-house as an SEO Director two years before starting started Alchemist Media - which has now expanded into the San Francisco Bay Area.

Since 2002 she has been a guest speaker at search industry conferences including ad:Tech, Incisive Media's Search Engine Strategies Conferences, Danny Sullivan's Search Marketing Expo (SMX), WebmasterWorld's PubCon, The O'Reilly Web 2.0 Summit, and Shop.org. In addition, she is one of the original nine founders of SEMPO (the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization), and served two years on the Board of Directors for the organization, during which time she also served as Membership Committee Chair.

Jessie's pioneering work on click fraud has been quoted in numerous trade publications and media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Newsweek, Wired Magazine, The Washington Post, CNET.com, and has been featured on NBC Nightly News, NPR, and The BBC. She was the lead expert consultant in the click fraud class action suit against Google and Yahoo!, and is currently co-authoring an SEO book entitled The Art of SEO, with Rand Fishkin, Stephan Spencer, and Eric Enge, to be published by O'Reilly Media in 2009.
